Updates on what's happening at Revival Retro during the crisis:
16 July 2021
As of Monday 19th July lots of restrictions across England will be lifted. For the time being though our boutique will continue running reduced opening hours. We will be open to the public Thursday-Saturday 11am-7pm with private shopping available Monday-Wednesday.
Whilst masks will no longer be legally required, you may find our staff still wearing them when you visit and where possible they will still encourage social distancing in store. If you have any queries or concerns please contact us, we are always happy to be as accommodating as we can.
3 July 2021
Our boutique is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am to 7pm, with private appointments available outside of those days and hours. Please click here for more info on appointments.
Whilst footfall is extremely low, the silver lining to us being quiet in store is that our multi talented team have been working on some exciting projects!
Our part time team member Mary has been designing beautiful new prints for us that will be available to pre-order soon and Lottie has been designing and pattern cutting new dresses in an extended size range. To find out more about our journey to expand our size range click here and to find our more about how pre-order will work click here.
14 June 2021
The latest announcement that the easing of restrictions in England have been postponed does not affect our opening hours. Our boutique will continue to be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am-7pm.
15 May 2021
Our covid safe central London boutique is still open Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11am to 7pm. On these days you are free to pop in and try on shoes and clothing at your leisure. If earlier in the week suits you better or you wish to shop privately, you can do so on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays by booking an appointment in advance. You can book here.
Online and telephone orders are currently being despatched as per our delivery terms.
15 April 2021
In England non essential shops are permitted to reopen but talking to our customers we understand it's going to take a while to rebuild confidence and make plans to visit central London this is why we have decided to limit our opening hours over the next couple of months.
If you wish to visit us Monday to Wednesday this is possible by prior appointment. Click here to book
Revival Retro continues to despatch web orders as per our delivery terms.
7 April 2021
The UK Prime Minister has announced that the next easing of lockdown on 12 April can go ahead as planned which means non-essential shops such as ours are allowed to reopen.
We look forward to welcoming you through our doors again. Please note our amended hours for the first week. We will then review and decide new hours beyond.
We continue to despatch web orders as normal though please note there may be some delays on Monday 12th April however we expect to be back on track by Wednesday 14th.
We continue to sell online while England remains in lockdown. Hopefully the shop will be permitted to reopen mid April. We wait for the government to confirm if restrictions will be eased and when.
On 22nd February the UK government announced the country's roadmap out of lockdown. Part of this is that non essential shops such as ours will not be allowed to reopen to the public until mid April at the earliest.
Until the shop is allowed to reopen we continue to sell online with minimal disruption to despatch.
A member of staff walks to the shop to pick and pack orders most days, the rest of the time we work from home or are furloughed. Emails will be checked at least once a day. Thank you.
Week beginning 8 Feb - Snow week update. Pandemic precautions plus London lockdown means staff are walking to the shop rather than taking public transport. This can be up to a 4 hour round trip commute for some and as such depending on weather and staff health and wellbeing there may be some snow days where we will be unable to despatch. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Feel free to add notes to your order regarding any urgency.
Lots of questions from European customers about shipping arrangements post Brexit. Read this blog for details but here is a summary:
Last chance to shop the sale online
The London boutique remains closed until further notice due to UK lockdown.
January - February 2021 - SHOP THE SALE ONLINE
London is in lockdown and non essential shops are closed, that includes our boutique. Click and collect (local pick up) in operation and we are regularly despatching via Royal Mail and DHL.
The UK's national postal service is inundated and all services are facing huge disruption. If you select a Royal Mail service for shipping expect delays. Revival also offers DHL next working day delivery which is operating a normal service.
So, shop the sale! New offers will be added throughout January.
The best way to reach us is by email firstname.lastname@example.org we are operating with a skeleton staff and working from home wherever possible.
20 December to 3rd January - LONDON SHOP CLOSED.
LIMITED ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICES OVER XMAS AND NY.
London is in lockdown again (UK Tier 4) and non essential shops must once again close until further notice.
This pandemic has taken it's toll on the mental and physical health of the whole team so we are looking after our people and having a proper break. Over Christmas and New Year the team will be working limited hours to answer emails and despatch web orders.
With the new restrictions we have decided that Monday 21st will be our last day working to despatch orders before the Christmas break. We recommend you choose DHL next business day delivery as Royal Mail services are severely delayed.
We will then close for the Christmas holiday.
The next day we will despatch orders and check the inbox will be Wednesday 30th December.
We will then close for the New Year holiday.
The next day we will despatch web orders and check the inbox will be Monday 4th January.
With the expectation that restrictions will continue throughout January we expect limited services to continue throughout the month. The team will work to despatch orders and service requests on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only.
LAST POSTING DATES BEFORE CHRISTMAS
If ever there was a year to get organised in advance this is it. With a November nationwide lockdown that might get extended further in to December, none of us know when we will be able to be in the same space as our loved ones. That means more people than ever will be sending parcels. Our top tip is buy early online from small businesses to ensure items are shipped in time for them to arrive.
Ongoing Updates to our COVID-19 RISK ASSESSMENT for the Revival Retro boutique
We will gladly supply the full risk assessment upon request.
We are limiting capacity to four visitors in the shop at any one time.
Please follow UK law regarding social distancing and face coverings. Thank you.
5 December - SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY UK.
Whatever COVID-19 is doing we will be celebrating! Please join us in doing shout outs of our favourite small businesses. Let's remind the businesses that we know and love that we appreciate them.
3 December - SHOP REOPENS
The national lockdown ends and our shop will reopen. Our new adjusted COVID opening hours will be 1130 to 1900. We will be opening half an hour later than normal to allow for additional cleaning.
27 November - BLACK FRIDAY
This pandemic has pushed us to the edge. We have battled to stay in business and we really hope that people know every penny counts in ensuring there is a future for Revival and keeping some great people in employment. No, there will not be a sale, just really great service as always.
5 November 2020 - 2 December. SHOP CLOSED. NORMAL DESPATCH OF WEB ORDERS.
National lockdown in England. By government decree, all 'non essential' shops must close to the public. However, team members are still working and we can despatch all online orders as normal. As some of the team are furloughed our ability to answer emails and phone messages is subject to delay. Apologies.
