Vintage Floral Dresses- New In-Store and Online

The description "Vintage floral dress" can conjure up images of old fashioned clothing that your granny used to make out of curtain fabric....  But that couldn't be further from the truth with this gorgeous capsule collection that has just arrived!

What first drew us to these shapes was the exquisite Japan blue floral silk viscose crepe that they're made in.  Classic and modern all rolled into one!

The first piece we all absolutely fell in love with was this vintage floral dress with sleeves:

We hear a lot of ladies struggle to find dresses with sleeves so we're thrilled to have this dress.  Not only does it have sleeves, it also comes with a slip which means you can make this dress as modest or as revealing as you like- and it's an extra layer for those of us who get cold easily.
The biggest plus point for this style however, is that it is very flattering on all body types.  It skims over curves and is cut for busty ladies, like our model Sarah, but it still suits and flatters small busted ladies like myself.

Sarah's favourite piece of the collection was this stunning maxi dress, shown above here. With kimono sleeves and two ties that cinch in at the waist, this V-neck design flatters the bust before dramatically falling away from the figure in a silky column. I had to bribe her out of this one with tea and cake, which is a sign of how good it is! Perfect for vintage style bridesmaid dresses, as a guest to a summer party, a picnic or even a stroll down the beach.

The last piece in this capsule collection that we just had to have is this fabulous kimono.

Some of you may recognise this style from Spring Summer 2017.  Back then we had it in a green print and it went down a storm!  So of course when we saw it was available in this divine Japan blue floral, we couldn't help but swoon and fight over who was going to try it on first!  Sarah wrote a blog on the last kimono that has some great styling tips that can be transferred to this one.  Read it HERE.
