This timeless style is inspired by the late 1930s and early 1940s. The gathering detail around the bust means it's flattering regardless of size and the art deco style belt comfortably nips in at the waist. Deep pockets and below the knee length also makes this a practical dress to where every day.
This beautiful fluttery dress was perfect in floaty cotton for Spring/Summer and now it's back in a slightly darker print and weightier viscose fabric. Elegant with boots or heels and comfortable for wearing all day.
Whether you are looking for something striking for an event or doing a new take on power dressing for the office, this jumpsuit is sure to make you stand out. We love its 1940s details in the waist, sleeves and neckline. (If you're a big fan of jumpsuits, be sure to check out our
Own Range Mayfair jumpsuit too.)
And speaking of fancy pants...
These trousers mean business. And... we have
suspenders to match:
(Please remember that suspenders and trousers are sold separately!)
If you want something a bit more casual than the fancy pants but still stylish then we suggest the
Good Old Grandpa Pants.
A classic high waisted trouser with one foot still in contemporary style. We love the extra details at the back.
If you are noting the lack of skirts in our pick it's because Emmy skirts are not lined. We like to think our own range
Handy Pocket A-line skirt and our
Pall Mall pencil skirt are pretty good propositions when it comes to woollen winter skirts!
And finally, finish off your outfit with a gorgeous new coat! The Sherlock Coat and Screen Siren Jacket are both back in Burgundy but with some slight differences.

The Sherlock Coat is slightly longer than previous years, reaching to the ankle to give a long, lean look. It can be worn with our without the capelet and buttoned either up to the neck or with open lapels (as shown). Fully lined and made from 100% wool, this coat will keep you warm, cosy and full of dramatic flair!

And if you are looking for something a bit more trans-seasonal, try the stunning Screen Siren Jacket. Emmy has adapted the peplum shape for a slightly more svelte silhouette than before. Like the Sherlock Coat, the glamorous cape is removable and the jacket can be worn buttoned up to the top.
