This week the lovely Marie Lopez visited our London boutique. Marie's instagram feed @enjoyphoenix is one of the most popular in France and she is a style inspiration for many.
With the imminent release of Mary Poppins Returns Disney had sent Marie to London to find style inspiration in the city that is not just the backdrop of the movie but resonates that essential 'Britishness' that defines the film and it's characters.
The Mary Poppins inspires outfit that Marie chose is the perfect blend of her own chic French style and distinguished British elegance. Above are the pictures Marie posted on @enjoyphoenix of her Mary Poppins look shot against an archetypal London backdrop, residential houses which could, very well, be the home of George Banks and his children Jane and Michael.
The blue wool suit that Marie chose is full of old world charm yet the choice of culottes rather than skirt adds personality and individualism that transcends both Julie Andrews' and Emily Blunt's Mary Poppins.
Choice accessories such as the bow tie and lace up oxfords give a nod to the Mary Poppins signature look in the film but finding her own interpretation gone are the hat, gloves and bag, instead this French style influencers look features beautiful manicured nails, a statement brooch and is topped off with a fantastic pom pom adorned beret from Atelier Millinery (concession within the Revival Retro Boutique).
