Small Business Saturday is a grassroots campaign designed to support, inspire and help small businesses across the UK.
Anyone can get involved and it's easy to participate!
If you are a small business why not put a poster in the window or hold an event in store.
If you are a loyal customer why not share a story or a recommendation about your favourite small business with friends.
As an independent shop we really appreciate it when people choose to shop at our small business. We consider ourselves to be quite special and very different to the big chain stores on the high street. We encourage everyone to shop small, shop local and shop independent.
Our London shop is in Fitzrovia, a beautiful leafy neighbourhood right in the heart of the city. It's full of history and we have some great neighbours, we are always happy to recommend where to go for a coffee, a cocktail or a bite to eat after a spot of shopping. Fitzrovia and neighbouring Bloomsbury are lovely areas to spend time in.
Small Business Saturday isn't all about shopping either. There are lots of different small businesses that support communities, benefit the local economy and excel in what they do. Just tale a look at this years SmallBiz100 for some examples, Revival Retro is infact SmallBiz100 alumni and Rowena Howie, owner and founder acts as one of the Small Business Saturday Heroes, championing the cause, inspiring other small business owners and providing help and support as part of the campaign. This year at Revival Retro we are celebrating our 10th anniversary and for the month leading up to Small Business Saturday we are asking our friends, fans and followers to share their earliest and favourite stories from the past ten years. We are then filling our shop windows with these shared memories to create an exhibition that tells the story of our small business.
On 7 December we invite everybody to come see the exhibition. It will be a living breathing testimonial to the community surrounding our small business. It's not just about us, our high quality products or our fantastic services ... it's about all the people who have been a part of Revival Retro over the years, who have turned it into something very special.
