We are firm believers in the Small Business Saturday concept and look forward to celebrating it the first Saturday in December every year as it is such an invaluable and important campaign. If you haven't heard of Small Business Saturday before you might be wondering what exactly it is...well as stated on they website "Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities."
What's not to like?! Supporting a small business is important all year of course but it's especially important around the festive period. Between Black Friday, Christmas offers and New Year sales, small businesses really take a beating trying to keep up with the 'big boys'. It's a really tough time!
Which is why on Saturday December 1st we are asking you to champion small businesses with us by coming to our central London boutique anytime between 12-6 and telling us about your favourite small business. Better yet, show us something from your favourite small business! Wear something from that great little boutique many people haven't heard of. Bring a sample of something yummy from that Bakery you stumbled across. Or simply just bring a business card/flyer/picture of a small business that we should check out. We really want to share the love and let people know about the great little gems that are out there so we'll be posting about our findings throughout the day here and here.
