4th June: An evening with Revival Retro at BFI.

BFI Pandora's Box It Girl Classic Silent Movie

To kick off a new series of events Revival Retro is inviting you to a special screening at BFI Southbank.

See the iconic Louise Brooks dazzle on screen as Lulu the spirited but innocent showgirl, whose sheer sexual magnetism wreaks havoc on the lives of men and women alike.

This is your chance to see Pandora’s Box on the Big Screen, a dazzling new digital restoration and pianist Cyrus Gabrysch will perform a live score.

Join Team Revival afterwards at the BFI Bar & Kitchen to discuss the "desire, decadence and debauchery" in this stunning silent classic.

Meet others and make new friends at this group outing on London’s Southbank.

An evening with Revival Retro at BFI

Pandora's Box

For this special event some people will be getting glammed up 20s style, others will be coming straight from work. Choose how you will best enjoy this Revival Retro  event.

1920s London

Pandora’s Box will screen on extended run as part of BFI Southbank’s ongoing Big Screen Classics series, which in June is programmed around the theme of the ‘it girls’ of cinema history. From Clara Bow to Goldie Hawn, cinema ‘it girls’ have a certain je-ne-sais-quoi, an undeniable onscreen magnetism that draws in the audience. Films screening in Big Screen Classics: It Girls will include It (Clarence Badger, 1927), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (Blake Edwards, 1961), Cabaret (Bob Fosse, 1972), and Shampoo (Hal Ashby, 1975). Big Screen Classics are the timeless films the BFI urge audiences to see on the big screen. Find out more here.
