A classic a-line shape, we just had to get one of the shirtwaister dresses. Inspired by the 1940s, it has all the details you'd expect along with a matching tie belt that's attached at the sides. For the fabric we chose a viscose and wool mix in a navy and mustard check. Breathable and gives you options for matching with cardigans...more on those later.
Midwinter Midi Dress
We're always asked for dresses with long sleeves so we're thrilled to be able to offer this 1930s inspired one. It fastens in the back with a zipper whilst the front bodice has decorative 1930s style buttons. Fabric wise we have chosen a viscose and acrylic mix as we adored this aubergine shade and felt it would never go out of favour in your wardrobe.
A show stopping dress for sure! Inspired by the late 1800s, it's a bit of a departure from our usual style but we just couldn't resist. We can picture ourselves pairing this with boots and kicking through crunchy autumn leaves on our way to a traditional Sunday roast at a cosy pub with a real fire crackling away in the corner. The rusty plaid soft twill cotton just screams autumn winter so we had to have this one. But we know the plaid won't be for everyone so we also chose a gorgeous forest green in a viscose and wool mix.
It has a slightly longer skirt length than our other offerings, stopping somewhere between mid calf and ankle depending on your height, and features voluminous 3/4 length sleeves and grandfather collar. You can wear the dress buttoned all the way to the top of wear slightly undone and the tie belt can be tied to your liking around the back.
It's no secret how much we love the Favourite Blouse so of course we had to snap up a new colour to add to our collection! The rusty plaid soft twill cotton is for sure our favourite fabric this year. It has so many great colours in it to pair with lots of bottoms and the short sleeves means you can wear a cardigan over it with ease. Styling options aplenty here.
We can't wait to get our hands on this, it's going to get so much wear!! Whether you like a Victorian look or a 1940s look or even something more modern, this blouse will be a fantastic starting point for any outfit. The full bishop sleeves fall gracefully into long slender cuffs that feature buttons whilst a gathered yoke on the front and darted waist make this blouse shapely whilst maintaining a loose, comfortable fit. For everyday wear we have opted for a soft combed twill in antique white but we also just had to get our favourite rusty plaid soft twill cotton too!
You can wear it unbuttoned but why not button it all the way to top and style with a tie? We think it would look incredible with a bolo tie!
And of course a collection wouldn't be complete without some trousers! This season we've chosen to go high waist ankle length tapered trousers with pleat detailing, cinch back and those all important pockets. Fabric wise we chose the viscose and wool mix in a navy and mustard check again as we felt it made this style special and different to others we have seen.
The Ice Skater AKA the perfect cropped cardigan is back and this time we ordered all of the colours so you have ELEVEN to choose from! How on earth are you going to do it?! Made from high quality soft wool yarn, you will wear these again, and again, and again for years to come.
This gorgeous jumper is going to steal so many hearts. The cable knit is based on the Ice Skater and it's knit in the exact same yarn which means yes, you can make your own twinset!
A brand new cardigan style in the same high quality soft wool yarn but with a slightly longer bodice than the Ice Skater. It also features an extra high rib at the waist, permanently cuffed up cuffs, collar and an all over textured knit. We know this is going to be a hit amongst Emmy lovers, cardigan addicts and folk who run cold.
