Outside Leg Measurement

Insight & Inspiration

These wide leg, high waist trousers are the perfect figure flattering choice! Many of our customers express how dissatisfied they are with shopping at chain stores on the high street and they look to us for timeless style, feminine tailoring and quality fabrics.

We are retrospective in our design rather than fashion forward so we look to the past for inspiration. That's why these trousers are wide leg and high waist, a common style in the 1940s that looks just as good now!

Detailed Description

Wide leg trousers are a flattering style on all shapes and sizes. Often we hear women with large hips and thighs tell us that they commonly shy away from trousers in general but when we tell them in the shop to trust us and try something a little out of their comfort zone the results are often shockingly positive.

The 1940s inspired high waist design is another flattering feature. The waistband is at our smallest point and the trouser leg just skims the hip and drops to the floor, extending the idea of length and good proportion.

We've added feature belt loops so you can make the most of the waist and our Berkeley belt (shown in one of the images here is the perfect size to match the waistband. Belt is sold separately. Buy this leather belt to suit a high waist here.

These wide leg trousers feature our signature big deep handy pockets because we all know we cant be without our phone / keys / important items.

Our mix and match separates includes these trousers, skirts, jackets and more so it was important to find a quality fabric that looked great but could also been machine washed. If your buying a matching jacket and trouser/skirt you know that the bottoms are going to be washed and worn far more regularly.

This wool mix is perfect for autumn / winter / Spring. We design and make in London, England so our summers are short, we end up wearing these trousers at least two thirds of the year! However if you would like a lighter weight version of these pants, with no wool content, then try the Kensington Trousers which are almost the same pattern.

The wool mix wears well over time thanks to the blend that is soft to the touch but also durable. The wool mix feels good against the skin but we still lined these trousers to the knee.

New colours every season of this A line skirt with pockets and some favourite colours are restocked from season to season:

We use woven fabrics with visually interesting detail:

Our black is not a solid colour, we describe it as charcoal because it has texture and depth, theres actually a small herringbone running through it if you look closely.

Our wine herringbone features gorgeous flecks of lilac, gold and orange, they are discreet but enhance the overall effect.

Our dark brown tone on tone comprises of various shades for an overall impressive look.
