Material & Provenance

Sustainable Tencel
Provenance

Provenance

The Portobello Blouse was designed in our London boutique by the Revival Retro team and manufactured locally and ethically in London.

Revival Retro carefully considers our fabric selection. Not only must the fabric be appropriate for the garment and desirable by our customers, we also consider impact on the environment, where and how it is made. We have therefore chosen to make this garment in Tencel. TENCEL™ fibres help maintain environmental balance by being integrated into nature´s cycle. It is produced from sustainably sourced wood by environmentally responsible processes.

Not only does Tencel have great sustainability credentials, it is also a pleasure to wear. It is soft and gentle to the touch, lightweight yet durable and has effective moisture absorption.

The buttons on this blouse are made from Corozo nut and therefore are also a sustainable material. We purchased these buttons from a British company that also take pride in using environmentally-friendly techniques in their dying and manufacturing processes.

By manufacturing this garment on a pre-order basis we are also dramatically saving on waste and working towards our Net Zero goal.
