Description

  • A very special piece of evening wear as Revival Retro's first full length gown
  • Inspired by illustrations and patterns from the 1930s and 1940s
  • Designed with bigger busts in mind but the gathering technique means it is equally flattering on smaller busts
  • Shoulder yokes and nipped in waist alludes to its vintage roots
  • The neckline is cut to offer sophisticated allure - not too low or revealing, and enabling you to wear the bra of your choice
  • A subtle side zip allows you to slip this on and off comfortable and doesn't hinder the elegant silhouette
  • The perfect party dress for dancing the night away in - it's even machine washable!
  • Made in Britain

SIZE & FIT

  • Designed with curvy figures in mind
  • The extra fabric drapes nicely over wider hips which might mean the skirt is longer over slimmer hips
  • If having the hem taken up, please ensure you wear the correct shoes! (We recommend it's twin, the Ritz shoe by Remix)

Material & Provenance

The Ritz Gown

Revival Retro carefully considers our fabric selection. Not only must the fabric be appropriate for the garment and desirable by our customers, we also consider impact on the environment, where and how it is made.

Wherever we are able to use our buying power we do, but large parts of the fashion industry still operate business models based on high volume and as a small business making limited production, fabric companies often turn us away as we are not buying thousands of metres. We are always looking for friendly and ethical fabric suppliers with whom we can work, otherwise we turn to stock fabrics companies. The latter does mean we have less transparency about the fabrics we buy. The situation isn't the perfect sustainable credentials we are working towards but we keep looking for new partners to work with.

We believe clothing should last and part of enjoying wearing something time and again means the ability to machine wash plays an important part in facilitating that.

Our own range is Made in Britain, in fact it was made locally in London. We have a great relationship with our factories and are regularly in and out so we get to know who made our clothes.

At the heart of any business is people and Team Revival care and are involved in the design and decision making over every garment we produce.
