The Ice Skater Cardigan
The yarn originating from Australia is 100 % extrafine merino wool (mulesing free). Emmy Design use the softest yarns and further subject their knitwear to a softening treatment. It is a heavy, warm and soft yarn that makes a durable garment which will last a lifetime if cared for properly. Wool's inherent breathability and moisture-wicking properties help regulate body temperature. As it stays fresh for longer you can cut down on washes. Let your Emmy cardigans air out between wears and when they eventually need washing just follow the care label and machine wash it at wool settings or by hand with mild washing detergent.
Emmy Design Sweden
By focusing on timeless style and a quality that lasts for years, Emmy aims to slow down the pace of the fashion industry, reduce needless mass production and thus do what they can to help protect the environment. Their small scale production is split between two factories, they make their clothing in Lithuania and their knitwear in China Fabrics are sourced internationally according to Emmy’s specifications.
This small business is run by two women, sisters in fact. Emmy is the designer; she founded the company in 2010. Lisa came on board to help run the company after finishing her management degree in 2015. The level of thought, effort and professionalism that goes into every detail of their work to ensure best fit, style, quality and service is testament to these wonderful women’s achievements.
