    Provenance

    Provenance

The provenance of an item is extremely important to us at Revival Retro and for our own range we try to be as transparent as possible. This allows our customers to make better informed choices about the garments they choose to buy and for us to demonstrate the value of the dresses that we design and make.

We regularly hear how important it is to our customers to have the choice of dresses made of natural fibres for warmer temperatures so for our summer range we sourced organic cottons that are G.O.T.S. certified. This certification looks at every step of the production process to ensure it meets best standards. This was possible in our choice of fabric but we continue looking for a zip manufacturer with similar credentials. We are always looking at the sustainable and ethical questions of provenance and while we can't claim to be perfect we do take a considered approach.

The fabrics an trimmings are imported to the UK and we choose to make locally. This dress was made in a small factory in East London. We visit regularly and whilst we don't know everyones name we do regularly see the same faces and even our unexpected visits are greeted with a welcoming smile.

At Revival Retro we constantly try to improve our processes.
