I'm so pleased we're the UK stockist for Royal Vintage Shoes! I've been keenly awaiting the Evelyn shoes and I'm not disappointed.

You don't need to be a 1920s or 1930s afficionado to appreciate the style of these oxford lace ups. I mean, you're more like to squeak with delight over the authenticity of the design, but it still doesn't detract from the fact that these are GORGEOUS. Over the years we've stocked some sweet lace up oxford with heels, but other than the Gramercy I never really liked any of them.... until NOW.

Have a closer look here.

Made with canvas and leather, these beauties have a modest 6cm heel and a cheeky bit of arch support that even my high arches can detect. They even come with a spare black heel-thingie (The black rubber bit) which is wonderful given how many mishaps I have with my shoes.

The tan and brown versions of the Evelyn remind me of more traditionally masculine design shoes, but they are light, not at all clompy, and they are going to work with skirts and trousers alike. (Although I think keeping the tan canvas for skirts only if your trousers tend to sweep the floor!)

The navy and brown versions look really studious and are crying out for a white shirt, navy pencil skirt and brown belt, and a brown bag. (Crying out, I tell you.)

See the navy version here.

I think the mini cap toe and side panel details really make this shoe. So often you see a nice ladies oxford shoe with a heel and it's always a wingtip. This sets the Evelyn apart from the crowd. (But discretely, as she's not a show off, she's an elegant lady going about her business!)

I also like how the canvas makes it feel sporty. And when I say that, I don't mean you'll be playing tennis in them necessarily, but they feel less formal than a full leather shoe, and a smidgen more breathable because of it.

Royal Vintage brand shoes are based on original shoe designs from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Engineering, 'snazzy' design (their word!) and comfort are central to everything they produce. Revival Retro is the first UK stockist to carry their designs and we are super easy to get to in central London. Customers further afield in Europe can delight in knowing it is now much easier to order shoes they love without crippling import fees and delivery costs from the USA.
