As usual, the start of a new season brings new colours of the highly sought after Emmy Design Sweden cardigans. If you're not familiar with these vintage style knits you can read Rowenas blog from 2017 here where she highlights some key points.
This season we picked styles that we know you're just going to love. First up we are super excited to let you know that there is a 3/4 length sleeve option! Meet the brand new Topnotch Teatime Cardigan:
It is a take on the lightweight lace knit Delightful Daytime cardigan, which you can see here, and is perfect for those who usually find sleeves too long or for those who love to show off bangles and bracelets or for those who simply prefer a cropped length.
We chose two colours; classic burgundy that goes with everything and the brand new caramel brown which will be incredibly versatile all year round.
Our second pick is the ever lovely Susie Q which we first stocked in 2017 and have done every year since. It has the same silhouette as the ridiculously popular Ice Skater Cardigan, which you can see here, but instead of a close knit cable it has a darling leaf vine design on the front, back and down each sleeve.
Again we chose two colours; linen which will easily slot into any and all summer wardrobes and the new eye catching mallard blue which will be a big hit with both Emmy collectors and those who are looking for a cropped lightweight summer cardigan.
All four colourways are made from a hypoallergenic and vegan friendly mercerized cotton mix which is 50% Combed Cotton, 50% Modal. Both cotton and modal are natural breathable materials making both cardigans very comfortable to wear. For those not familiar with Modal, it is a manufactured fibre and a type of rayon which is not considered synthetic as it is made from natural cellulose from beech trees which is then turned into fibre using an environmentally-friendly process. Having a mix of Modal and cotton means you get a cardigan that is soft, smooth to the touch and tends to be less prone to creasing, pilling and shrinkage. All round a great investment!
Pre-order is open now with an estimate delivery date of sometime in April. As with all of our pre-orders you pay up front but our return and exchange policy won't kick in until you actually receive your order which means you can pre-order with full confidence knowing that if it doesn't work out you are covered.
