Anyone who knows me, or has seen me in the shop, will know I love a knit dress. With the right underwear (control tops tights FTW!) they can be so flattering; skimming but not clinging to your curves.
Over the Christmas period, I wore my fair-isle knit dress so much that I had to tell myself to stop and expand my wardrobe. A new year is always the perfect excuse to buy a new dress! The Olive dress is simple, good-looking and affordable- a guiltless January purchase.
It has a good deal of stretch to it and looked so tiny on the hanger, I was worried it wouldn’t accommodate my post Christmas curves! Not only did it do just that, it smoothed out my frame. The vertical ridges in the knit are elongating and flattering, and the fabric accentuates a feminine figure. Perhaps I am being too coy- it makes your bust and bum look great!
It looks great with a brogue or ankle boot. The deep red is offset nicely by the blue in our navy Williamsburg but the Jerome Boot also looks great. We also love to transform it into something smarter with the with the Gramercy and Balboa heels.
