We're back! Although in many ways we never left... Only physically, which is admittedly quite a key part of being in a shop. As many of you know, we have kept our online boutique going throughout lockdown and have recently been offering private in-store and virtual appointments. Thank you so much to all of you have been keeping in touch and a massive thank you to all those who donated to our Crowdfunder!
We're delighted to announce that we are starting to open our doors a little wider in an attempt to get back to some normality. The main thing you need to know is that:
WE REOPEN THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST
We are still very much easing in and trialling a new approach. Our main priority is to make sure our team and customers feel comfortable being in the shop whilst adhering to new rules and managing best practise.
As information from the government changes and we receive feedback from those in store, we will be making adjustments but will endeavour to update you online and on our social media.
If you have any questions prior to visiting our London shop give us a call. during our new opening hours or email the boutique any time for a quick response.
Deciding whether to visit a store it can be helpful to understand what changes have been made to manage risk and what you can expect when shopping in our London womenswear boutique. So, here we will try to answer some of the key questions. It isn't a list of all the extensive safety measures we have taken, but more like an insight and a means of managing your expectations:
So what has changed?
Firstly, our opening hours for the moment will be Thursday-Saturday, 11.30-6.30pm.
Only four customers will be allowed in the shop at any time and we ask that you please wear a face covering unless you are unable to do so for health reasons.
There will also be hand sanitiser at the front door that we encourage you to use to protect our items, yourselves and our other customers.
The Revival gals on the shop floor will be wearing clear plastic face shields and using hand sanitiser regularly. If you lip read and are struggling to see through the shields, please let us know and we will gladly accommodate.
Please also be aware that we are no longer accepting cash payments.
The shop floor
If you have visited us before, you will notice that the shop layout has changed.
Sadly our friends from Atelier are no longer present in the shop but you can order from their website directly.
In order to give our team space to work behind-the-scenes whilst maintaining social distancing we have expanded our staff quarters into the front shop. There will be areas you will no longer have access to. Please observe the signage and do not go beyond the clothes rails, shoe shelf and till that mark out the customer shopping area. However, while you shop you are more likely to get sneak peaks behind the scenes, you might see us working on new designs, pattern cutting or creating photography for the website among other things!
Don't worry, there is still plenty of space on the shop floor for you to browse! We have a large square footage and even the changing rooms are bigger than you find in other shops as we have always ensured they were accessible to wheelchair users.
Currently there is no one-way system marked on our floor as we believe that four people should be able to move comfortably around the shop area whilst social distancing. We've always been quite sociable with staff and customers interacting so a little communication goes a long way if you would like to cross to an area somebody else is currently occupying.
Instead of different items everywhere we have created two mirror collections. What you will find on one side of the shop is replicated on the other so that you shouldn't have to cross paths or compete for space looking at the same rail.
Changing rooms
Both of our changing rooms are open. We understand that trying on outfits and being advised by our team is an important part of the Revival Retro experience. However in order to operate this whilst keeping within government guidelines, any item tried on will be taken out of stock to be quarantined for the appropriate amount of time.
What hasn't changed?
Our beautiful and amazing staff! The Revival Retro Team are very excited to welcome you back. We are still offering our personal shopping appointments both virtually and in the boutique, which you can book here. If you cannot find a date that suits, please email us and we can arrange an alternative time.
And of course, you can still shop our online boutique! With staff members returned from furlough there should be no further delays in despatch but as postal services continue to adjust and we catch up with our suppliers we hope you will continue to be patient with us.
See you soon!
We hope this puts you at ease and that we will see you in our boutique soon. If you have any questions regarding our new guidelines please get in touch.
