Firstly, apologies to those of you I know quite well who I somehow missed in telling personally. (A combination of my poor memory for names and there being so many names to remember!)
After a hair under 5 years at the good ship Revival Retro, I'm leaving. Flying the nest!
I will be taking time to focus on my dancing, taking classes from world class teachers, developing my performing and my teaching of it, and the DJing I do for other dancers.
My journey will take me to the USA for the first few months, then I'll be back in Europe for a month or two, and then I hope to go out to Australia/New Zealand before returning to the states to see in 2019.
I have been privileged to work in the Revival family and I am all kinds of sad to be leaving, but I know that our paths will cross again in the future. Plus, as IF I plan on shopping anywhere else!! (The joys of international shipping, am I right?!)
To Rowena; I have learned so much from you over the years. When I joined the team I had many scars from an emotionally abusive previous employer (which still rear their head to this day)- but you saw the real me. You have always supported me, fought my corner when I didn't know how and cheered me on once I figured out how to. I'm sorry to leave you but I'm so grateful of your understanding and nourishing sisterhood. (I'm not crying, you're crying)
To Lottie: you're no longer the new girl now, for realsies! You have been a real ray of sunshine for my last year. Thank you for tidying up my mess, enjoying my rants and swapping cat pictures at me. You'll need to find a new snack facilitator now. Besties for real.
To Samantha: you make me laugh the way none else can! I will sorely miss your realness, sass and wisdom in all things. Also the way you rock a wiggle dress is something to aspire to!!
To my regular customers: your appreciation, loyalty and friendship has made the last 5 years an absolute joy. Without you these years wouldn't have flown by the way they have. Some of you I have helped all the way from first date to first born, from initial interview to running the company, from big birthday to even bigger birthday! Your respect for my styling eye, appreciation of my frequently awful jokes and your affection will always stay with me.
