Emmy Design Sweden SS22

by Charlotte Newell March 30, 2022

Now anyone who has worked in retail will know that ordering happens months and months in advance which for us was during the ongoing worldwide 'situation' and right after we'd closed the shop and moved to a smaller space. Phew. To say we were nervous ordering anything is an understatement!

With all that going we were very selective with our Emmy Design Sweden order for this season. We have chosen wardrobe staples that you will be able to mix and match with a multitude of options, meaning you'll wear them lovingly for years to come.

Lets start with what you've all been waiting for; new cardigans!

Firstly we're pleased to bring back Susie Q in an eye catching but wearable mallard blue colour and a gorgeous linen colour that will go with absolutely everything.

Secondly we're thrilled to have the brand new Topnotch Teatime in a classic burgundy that suits everyone and a versatile caramel brown. Both shades would work all year round so you will get a lot of wear from both of them.

Next up we have brought back the Grandpa Pants in a pretty sage green linen.

The gentle green colour works as a great base for many colours. Keep things simple like above with a light coloured blouse or add earth tones such as the brown Topnotch Teatime cardigan or pair with something bold like this yellow floral blouse for a summery look.

Speaking of blouses we just had to get the Edwardian brushwood in the Favourite blouse.

Emmy Design Sweden

We are big fans of this blouse thanks to the fit and the two different ways you can wear it; unbuttoned or buttoned all the way to the top. We did consider the Dandy Dame but felt it wasn't as versatile and you know how much we love versatility.

Isn't the print just darling? The colour palette will lend itself to your wardrobe all year round so this blouse should be on the top of your to buy list.

Another blouse we couldn't resist is this Edwardian blouse.

Whilst the style is influenced by much earlier eras than we usually stock, we couldn't resist it's charm. It goes splendidly with trousers but we just know it's going to work well with all of our skirts too. And again, it will be perfect all year round.

You can't go wrong with a classic A-line skirt and whilst we have nailed the autumn/winter version in the form of our Handy Pocket skirt, we have struggled to replicate it for spring/summer. Enter the Jazzed Up Jazz skirt from Emmy!

A great length in a breathable cotton mix with those all important pockets. We're so pleased Emmy could fill our summer A-line skirt gap and can't wait receive it as we have a lot of outfits planned!

To complete our order we just had to get what might be the most useful purchase you will make: The Spellbound Silk Slip.

A luxurious silk under layer is ideal for adding a layer to combat chills, for wearing under see through dresses, to provide a protective layer between your skin and itchy fabrics and to simply wear around your house feeling fabulous. Your wardrobe is incomplete without one. Available in peach and black.

There you have it, our Emmy Design Sweden 2022 Spring/Summer order. Each piece is due to arrive at different times so do keep your eye on our new section as it will be updated frequently.
