Suede Soles will over time become dirty and shinier making them more zippy which for many dancers is exactly what you want. If, however, you feel they have become too slippery then spill a little of your drink and step in it. Getting them slightly wet will dull the 'mirror finish'. To keep a good balance invest in a wire brush and rough up the sole occasionally. You should avoid wearing suede outside. If you find a small part of the suede gets caught and comes away from the shoe simply regluing should do the trick.
