Inspired by a late 1940s dress this beautiful vintage style reproduction has many authentic features but also a few updates. It’s made of a beautiful lightweight rayon and the wonderful, knee length, full circle skirt is a joy as it floats around your body making you feel glamourous and sophisticated. The tropical print has a glorious array of colours including purple, fuschia and teal against a black background any of which you could focus on to accessorise.
The waist has a wide fitted band of glorious purple to accentuate an hourglass figure and ties in an obi style around the body. The shoulders have keyhole gathered openings with dramatically draped sleeves, the front and back crossing over in a dramatic manner.
This dress is great if you have a curvaceous hourglass shape, particularly if you have a large chest and often suffer the problem that too many tops ‘gape’. This dress has plenty of room up top and the fit can easily be amended to your personal requirements by having the keyhole openings changed slightly.
